Hello, my name is Philipp Schaz and I am an economist. I am curious to use empirical data in order to draw recommendations for the real economy and policymaking. In particular, my research explores the intersection between the financial sector, firms and workers: Why do people lose their jobs during a financial crisis and how can this be avoided?
I recently received a PhD in Economics from Humboldt University of Berlin and the Berlin Doctoral Program in Economics an Management Science (degree: Dr. rer. pol.). You can find my CV and research papers on this website.
